Today was Wednesday…a long day of answering phones and sending e-mails and looking at the inside of my maroon colored cubicle…which by the way are three words made worse in conjunction. Life would be so much more fun with a little color and excitement, right? So tonight I found my way to a blog celebrating the bohemian modern style of the San Francisco Bay area and from there is was “Hippie Chic” and then “Hipster Decor” and before you knew it I had more color and style inspiration than I knew what to do with. Here are some of my favorite off the wall, mismatched, trendy rooms that bring a smile to my face…even on a Wednesday.

Spring Color Love Part 2…Poppy Red!
I’m loving the Spring 2013 Pantone for Grayed Jade…but Poppy Red is running a close second. Red is such a richly distinct color and although it’s generally seen in association with cooler weather and the holiday season, I think little bursts of red around the house this Spring could be really fun!

Grayed Jade…Spring Color Love!
I’m always interested in finding out what colors are trendy for the upcoming season and for Spring 2013 these are it! You’ve seen them on the runway and that always translates itself into interior design.
From the pallet above my favorite is the Grayed Jade. Part muted green and part bright gray, it’s a perfect neutral for walls and throw pillows and would look great paired with almost any traditional Spring colors. Consider using this color on your walls…can you imagine how it would make your pinks and yellows pop? Here’s some inspiration!
